Youth Ministry

Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.”

The youth of our community are very important to Blackman United Methodist Church. We have a fulltime youth minister and an amazing group of volunteers that lead our youth group. Currently our youth meets on Sunday nights from 5:00 until 7:00. Our youth group is open to students 6th through 12th grade. We also offer Sunday school classes for middle and high school students.

We understand that all teens’ lives can get very busy and sometimes you need a break from the hustle and bustle of life and need a safe place to be in community with friends your age that love and support you. The great thing about our group is that we are all very individual people. Some of us have a lot in common while others of us have different interest. The beauty of youth group is we have the greatest thing in common. God loves us all. We are all at a different place on our spiritual journey but with Christ for us who can be against us. Let us help you understand that God’s love for you is unconditional and you are never alone.

Youth are able to meet with other teens and adults in safe environment that promotes both an individual and group relationship with God. We have fun interactive Bible studies that meet youth where they are in their faith journey, leadership training, fun, missions, community service and volunteer opportunities. Friendships formed at youth group often have a deeper meaning because they are God centered. We would love for you to join us.

For more information please feel free to contact our Youth Minister Chandra Inglis @893-0347.

We are also here to love and support parents of youth. It takes a village to raise a child and we would love for Blackman United Methodist Church to be part of your village.
