Blackman UMC is host to several Boy and Girl Scout troops that meet weekly.  These troops meet year round and utilize the church fellowship hall and several class rooms.  There are also scout administrative committee meetings held throughout the year

Scout Sunday is the second Sunday in February of every year.
The scouts retire flags on Memorial and Veterans Day with a special flag burning ceremony outside the church.  If you look around the building you will see many projects that have been created by our own church member Eagle Scouts!
