Stepping Stones is a non-profit organization serving women and children experiencing homelessness in Murfreesboro. They rely on local churches to help provide food and shelter. We host Stepping Stones women and children to spend the night once a month. BUMC has supported Stepping Stones for over a decade. Our guests are given dinner and breakfast and a safe place to rest. At BUMC you can support this ministry by helping to provide dinner, driving the church van our guests on Sunday evening or return them on Monday morning, serve as an innkeeper by spending the night on Sunday night, or taking a bag of bed linens to lauder after a Sunday night stayover. The entire church is invited to help make up beds on Sunday morning of the event.
