Stepping Stones
Stepping Stones is a non-profit organization serving women and children experiencing homelessness in Murfreesboro. They rely on local churches to help provide food and shelter. Project Transformation
Project Transformation is a free, 8-week summer camp, focused on reading, hosted by Murfreesboro and Smyrna churches, that provides elementary aged children an opportunity to spend their summer making new friends, maintaining or improving their reading level, practice their social and emotional skills, and hove a ton of fun with their college-aged leaders.
Homeless Lunches
Monthly, volunteers gather to prepare and pack 100+ sack lunches for people in the Murfreesboro area who are experiencing homelessness.
Food Pantry and Bag Packing
We have a food pantry that serves those experiencing homelessness with non-perishable food items and hygiene products. See the office for more info.
Empower Cafe
The Empower Café provides an opportunity for greeting one another and a time for fellowship. Volunteers are needed to provide sweet treats. All donations to the Empower Café are used to support the wide variety of missions at BUMC.
Angel Tree
Each year in mid-November we receive names of children and senior citizens in our community that you can “adopt” for Christmas. This is a wonderful way to brighten someone’s holiday and share the joy and love of Christ! For more information, contact the church office.
Blood Drive
Blackman UMC hosts a quarterly American Red Cross Blood Drive in the Fellowship Hall. You can register to donate directly with the Red Cross. For more information, contact the church office.
