Bro. David Stockton
Senior Pastor

Bro. David Stockton is a native of Livingston, Tennessee.  He is a 2004 graduate of Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville with an undergraduate degree in Sociology and a 2009 graduate from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky with a Master’s of Divinity degree. 

David is married to Sarah (a Murfreesboro native and 1999 graduate of Riverdale) and they have identical twin girls, Hannah and Sydney, who were born in August 2014. 

Since 2004 David has served churches throughout the Tennessee Conference, including 2 in the Cookeville District, one in the Clarksville District, and one in the Murfreesboro District prior to his arrival at Blackman UMC in June 2015.  

David enjoys watching and playing sports, spending time with his family, and traveling.

 

Chandra Inglis
Youth Minister

Chandra Inglis has been serving in ministry to children, youth and adults in the local church, district, and conference level for over twenty years. Believing in the power of connectional systems, Chandra shares her gifts of leadership with students and adults through such ministries as Open Table Nashville, Wesley Foundation at MTSU, the Murfreesboro Homeless Ministry encouraging others with her heart for mission.

Her nine years in public education fueled her desire to help students achieve academic success. She is a mentor for the Tennessee Promise Scholarship Program assisting high school seniors and college students to realize their dream of attaining a degree in higher education.

Through her leadership as Youth Minister at Eagleville United Methodist Church, Chandra was an integral leader in the pilot cohort of the Smaller Church Youth Ministry Initiative. Her passion for serving smaller churches brings her unique gifts to the TNUMC Youth Ministry Initiative Coaching Network. She serves as the Director of Youth Ministry at Blackman UMC, Murfreesboro District Youth Coordinator, and is a Certified Lay speaker.

Chandra is married to Richard, and her daughter Cassidy is a student at Martin Methodist College.

Mike Rose
Music Director

Mike Rose is the music director at Blackman UMC.  He studied Music Ed at Illinois State University and his major instrument was trumpet.  He has been a member of BUMC since 2001 and has two grown children, Mikki and Will, who attend BUMC from time to time.  He also works at St. Mark’s UMC as I.T. Coordinator and occasionally plays organ with some of the more contemporary musical selections during worship.  Additionally, he servers in a volunteer status as Witness Team chairman and sound technician for Blackman UMC.
